Meet Dr. Sarah Nielsen

Dr. Sarah Nielsen grew up in Stillwater, MN, and completed both her undergraduate studies and dental education at Creighton University in Omaha, NE (Go Jays!). After nine years in Omaha earning her degrees, she took a leap of faith following dental school and moved to Fairhope—drawn by the town’s charm, friendly people, and strong sense of community. For the past two years, she has been proud to serve the patients of Baldwin County and is grateful to call Fairhope home. She also enjoys being involved at 3 Circle Church.

Dr. Nielsen was drawn to dentistry because it perfectly blends her passion for helping others with her artistic talents. Her favorite part of dentistry is using her God-given gifts to serve others, whether that means helping someone out of pain or creating a confident new smile that allows them to live and serve more fully. She finds great fulfillment in building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them feel comfortable and cared for.

Outside of the office, Dr. Nielsen enjoys staying active and creative. You’ll often find her hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, painting, or working on DIY art projects. She loves hosting friends and family for casual charcuterie boards, cocktails, or dinner parties, and traveling to new places. Recent highlights include Paris, Strasbourg, and Colmar, France. She also enjoys hiking in Colorado, especially climbing Longs Peak near her family’s cabin in Estes Park. A fun fact: during dental school, she completed RAGBRAI, biking over 450 miles across Iowa in just seven days. At home, she’s kept busy by her Maltese puppy, Palmer, and has recently picked up Mahjong as a new hobby.

When it comes to oral health, Dr. Nielsen recommends an Oral-B electric toothbrush and a water flosser. She looks forward to continuing to serve Baldwin County patients while helping each person achieve a healthy, confident smile in a warm and welcoming environment.
